I Played The Battle Cats for 2 Months — How Much Cat Food Can You Get?
I've been playing The Battle Cats for about two months.
As I cleared stages and collected more cats, I started wondering:
“How much Cat Food have I actually collected so far?”
Honestly, I've already lost track of how much Cat Food I've spent on the gacha（笑).
So instead of counting what I spent, I decided to count the Cat Food you can earn from one-time rewards as you progress through the game.
I left out recurring rewards such as weekly and monthly rewards and focused mainly on rewards that you can claim only once.
And the total turned out to be much bigger than I expected!
Japan, Into the Future, and Cats of the Cosmos
Let's start with the Cat Food you can collect simply by progressing through the main story.
Japan Chapter: 1,890 Cat Food
I cleared all three chapters of Japan.
Each chapter gives 150 Cat Food:
150 × 3 = 450 Cat Food
I also cleared all three chapters of the Zombie Outbreak stages.
Each Zombie stage gives 10 Cat Food, for a total of 144 stages:
10 × 144 = 1,440 Cat Food
That means Japan gives me a total of:
1,890 Cat Food
I honestly didn't realize there was that much Cat Food here!
Into the Future: 3,330 Cat Food
I also cleared all three chapters of Into the Future.
That's another:
150 × 3 = 450 Cat Food
I also completed the scoring rewards, which gave me a total of:
1,440 Cat Food
And the Zombie Outbreak stages added another:
1,440 Cat Food
So Into the Future alone gave me:
450 + 1,440 + 1,440 = 3,330 Cat Food
Cats of the Cosmos: 450 Cat Food
I've also cleared all three chapters of Cats of the Cosmos.
That's:
150 × 3 = 450 Cat Food
I haven't cleared the Zombie stages here yet, so those aren't included.
There should still be more Cat Food waiting for me as I continue progressing!
You Can Get Cat Food from the Cat Guide, Too!
This was one of the rewards I was particularly happy to discover.
Registering a cat in the Cat Guide gives you 5 Cat Food.
After about two months, I had registered 170 cats:
170 × 5 = 850 Cat Food
So simply collecting cats can gradually add up to quite a lot of Cat Food.
Getting Through the Crazed and Manic Stages
As my cats got stronger, I started taking on the Crazed and Manic stages.
I've cleared all 9 Crazed stages and all 9 Manic stages.
If each first clear gives 30 Cat Food:
- Crazed: 270 Cat Food
- Manic: 270 Cat Food
That's another 540 Cat Food.
Some of these stages looked impossible when I first started, so it was pretty satisfying to finally clear them.
Awakening Stages Give Cat Food, Too
I've also cleared 9 of the Crazed Cat/True Form-style awakening stages for the Li'l Cats.
That's:
9 × 30 = 270 Cat Food
I also cleared the awakening stages for 13 of the Cat Food-purchasable EX Cats.
That adds:
13 × 30 = 390 Cat Food
So awakening stages can be another useful source of Cat Food.
That's Already 7,720 Cat Food!

Of course, this does not mean I saved 7,720 Cat Food in two months.
I've spent plenty on the gacha along the way（笑).
This is simply the total amount of one-time Cat Food rewards I've collected from progressing through the game.
Still, seeing all the numbers together was a surprise.
And Then There Are the Legend Stages…
This is where things start getting a little more difficult.
I've cleared all the first-star Legend Story stages that I've played so far.
There are 49 Legend maps in the part I counted, and each map gives 30 Cat Food:
49 × 30 = 1,470 Cat Food
Adding that to the previous total:
7,720 + 1,470 = 9,190 Cat Food
So we're already getting pretty close to 10,000!
Legend stages are much harder, though, so I wouldn't consider all of this “easy Cat Food for beginners.”
It's more like an additional amount you can aim for as you get stronger.
And If You Include Special Stages, Scratches, and Login Rewards…
Up to this point, I've mainly been counting one-time rewards.
But when I include other Cat Food I've received while actually playing the game, the number gets even bigger.
For example:
- Special Stage rewards
- Scratch rewards
- Login bonuses
- Anniversary and campaign rewards
- Regular celebration rewards
And once I started including those…
I was already well over 10,000 Cat Food!
Of course, this number can vary depending on when you started playing, how many events were running, and which rewards were available at the time.
That's why I kept these rewards separate from my main “one-time rewards” calculation.
Still, I thought it was pretty amazing that the total could go well over 10,000 Cat Food when everything is included.
So, How Much Cat Food Is Actually Available?
After playing The Battle Cats for about two months, I realized there is a lot more Cat Food available than I expected.
My count came to:
7,720 Cat Food from the easier-to-track one-time rewards
and
9,190 Cat Food when I add the Legend maps I counted.
And if I also include things like Special Stages, Scratch rewards, login bonuses, and other campaign rewards, the total goes well over 10,000 Cat Food.
That doesn't mean you can save 10,000 Cat Food in two months.
You'll obviously spend some along the way, especially on the gacha.
But if you're just starting out and constantly thinking,
“I need more Cat Food!”
it might be worth checking which stages and rewards you haven't collected yet.
I still have plenty left to clear, so I'm going to keep collecting Cat Food little by little!
