The Battle Cats: Can You Really Save 100 Rare Tickets?
When I first started playing The Battle Cats, there was something I couldn't understand.
You can get Rare Tickets from events and login bonuses, but they didn't seem to accumulate very quickly.
Then I watched YouTube videos of experienced players doing huge Gacha sessions with over 100 Rare Tickets—sometimes even 130 pulls.

“Can you really save that many?”
As a beginner, I honestly couldn't imagine it.
But after playing for a while, I realized something.
One of the biggest differences is how long you have been playing.
Beginners and Long-Time Players Use Blue Orbs Differently
Long-time The Battle Cats players can turn the Blue Orbs they get from Cat Tickets into XP and other resources, eventually using them as Catseyes?
Actually, Blue Orbs can be used to increase the +levels of your Cat Base upgrades, while excess Blue Orbs can eventually be exchanged for Cat Tickets' other rewards.
When you are a beginner, you can't simply treat every Blue Orb as something you can convert toward Rare Tickets.
You first need to use them to increase the +levels of your Cat Base upgrades.
In other words, early in the game, your Blue Orbs are helping you develop your account, rather than helping you save Rare Tickets.
For me, it took about a month and a half to max out the +levels that I needed to work on.
Only after that could I start putting more Blue Orbs toward saving Rare Tickets.
I Was Actually Saving More Than I Thought

These didn't all come from Blue Orbs.
I got them from a combination of login bonuses, events, and stage clear rewards.
After seeing how many I could actually collect in one month, I started thinking that if I carefully kept track of all the Rare Tickets I received, I could potentially save over 100 Rare Tickets in a year—perhaps around 120.
There is just one big problem.
I keep spending them.
When a limited Uber Super Rare that I want appears in Epicfest, I can't always resist.
I spend a few tickets.
Then I start saving again.
Then another Cat I want appears, and I spend some more.
If I keep doing that, I may actually be earning quite a lot of Rare Tickets, but the number in my inventory never seems to increase.
Experienced Players and Beginners Want Different Things
There is another important difference.
Players who have been making YouTube videos about The Battle Cats for a long time often already have a large collection of Uber Super Rare Cats.
A beginner, on the other hand, has a much smaller collection.
So whenever a new Uber Super Rare appears, a beginner is more likely to think:
“I want this Cat!”
or
“Maybe this Cat will make the stages I'm stuck on easier!”
I'm definitely guilty of this myself.
Especially when a limited Uber Super Rare I want appears during Epicfest, it becomes very difficult to keep saving my Rare Tickets.
An experienced player with a large collection may be able to skip a Gacha because they already have plenty of strong Cats.
For a beginner, it's much harder to say no when there are still so many Cats you don't have.
The fewer Cats you have, the stronger the temptation to pull Gacha can be.
I think this is another reason why Rare Tickets can feel so difficult to save as a beginner.
The Longer You Play, the Easier It Becomes to Save
What I didn't understand at first was the difference in both playtime and collection size.
Beginners need to use their Blue Orbs to develop their account.
Once an account is more developed, more of those resources can be used toward building up Rare Tickets.
On top of that, login bonuses, events, missions, and stage clear rewards continue to add up over time.
So when I see an experienced player with 100 or more Rare Tickets, they aren't necessarily getting them all at once through some special method.
They have simply been playing for a long time, collecting a few here and there until those small amounts add up.
And when you already have a large collection, it may also be easier to resist the temptation to pull every time a new Cat appears.
Of course, this is just what I have learned from my own experience as a beginner.
I've only been playing The Battle Cats for about two months, and there are still stages I can't clear, including higher-level Assault stages.
Even so, after actually saving 10 Rare Tickets in August, I've started to realize that perhaps my original impression that “Rare Tickets never accumulate” wasn't quite right.
I really am getting them little by little.
The problem is simply this:
When there is a Gacha I really want, I spend them.
For me, that's the hardest part.
